WESTWIND FARM EVENTS & CLASSES!
A selection of our products are now fresh on the shelf at Argus Farm Stop in Ann Arbor, as well as Selden Standard and Rose's Fine Foods, both in Detroit!
Our Mill Store
Our little store is quite unique. People don't often see a store where the product on the shelves is manufactured in the next room, which is the case at Westwind Milling. Our lot numbers on the bottom of the bag reflect when the flour was milled or when the baking mix was manufactured, which is usually within 3 weeks. You'll always find real, fresh flours and baking mixes with no additives or preservatives, stone ground from Michigan grown, certified organic grains. Our new retail arm, Many Hands Community Foods, located in the same store where our retail has always been, carries a large variety of sustainable, Michigan raised foods. All the milled products listed in the Product Line tab are produced and sold here at the Mill Store - but call before you make the drive out here. We do our best, but not everything is available every day.
Our store is also a distribution site for the CSA Farmer's Market, an online grocery that is comprised of a network of some 14 farmers/producers. We became involved with this group because most of our clientele wants to find as many local, sustainably raised foods as they can, and our offerings are limited. You can pre-order wonderful breads and baked goods through CSA Farmers Market or just order through us. You can find the selection of baked goods we make under the "Market" tab at www.CSAfarmersmarket.com. We bake every other Wednesday from January through April, and every Wednesday from May until December. If you would like veggies, cheese, meat, and other items that we don't offer, you would simply order at home on the internet and pick up at Westwind Milling (or another convenient distribution location) on Fridays.
